Abstract Submission Guideline
(1) Download the abstract template file
First, download the Abstract Template file from the following link and use it to prepare your abstract. Detailed instructions on the correct format (margins, font type and size, citations, etc.) for abstracts are given in the template. The total length of the abstract must not exceed 2 pages. If English is not your native language, we recommend that you have your abstract reviewed by a native speaker before submission.
(2) Create an account
Before submitting an abstract, you need to create an account in ICSCRM2019 Abstract Submission/Registration system. One or more abstracts can be submitted from the same account.
(3) Enter or choose the information on your abstract
The following information must be selected or entered before uploading your abstract:
- All authors’ names and their affiliations
- Topic of your abstract
- Preferred type of presentation (oral or poster)
- Title of your abstract
The topic of the abstract is the general category under which the abstract will be reviewed and later classified into the appropriate technical sessions at the conference, if accepted. The topic which best describes the subject of the abstract should be chosen from the following categories:
- Growth and Wafer Manufacturing
- Characterization and Defect Engineering
- MOS Gate Stacks and Device Processing
- Power and High-Frequency Devices
- Packaging and Applications
(4) Upload your abstract file
Before uploading your abstract, the abstract must be converted to an Adobe Acrobat pdf file. The maximum file size is 2 MB. After the abstract has been uploaded, modifications can be made until the submission deadline. To revise your abstract, you need to re-upload a new abstract file using your account. The final deadline to submit abstracts is
May 13 [EXTENDED] May 20, 2019, 23:59 Japan Standard Time (JST).
(5) Submission confirmation
When an abstract has been submitted, a confirmation email will be sent to the corresponding (submitting) author. Please make sure saving the email from noreply.confit@atlas.jp.
(6) Abstract review and selection process
All submitted abstracts will go through a peer-review process carried out by the Technical Program Committee (TPC) of ICSCRM 2019. The TPC makes the final selection of abstracts to be included in the conference program. Abstracts can be selected for oral presentation or for presentation as a poster. A small number of high-scoring abstracts will be selected for invited presentations in both oral and poster sessions.
(7) Notification of acceptance or rejection to the corresponding author
Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to the corresponding (submitting) author on July 16, 2019 JST. Please note that only the corresponding (submitting) author will receive email concerning the abstract and this author is responsible for informing all co-authors of the status of the abstract. Authors whose abstracts have been accepted will receive instructions for the presentation of their abstracts. In order to receive these important communications, please ensure that emails from noreply.confit@atlas.jp are not labeled as spam by your email provider.
(8) Publication of accepted abstracts
Your abstract, if accepted, will appear in its full form in the electronic version of the Technical Digest, which will be distributed with a printed short program booklet to all registered participants of ICSCRM 2019 at the conference venue.
(9) Late news abstracts
A small number of late news abstracts will be accepted for oral presentation or for presentation as posters at the conference. The percentage of abstracts selected for late news presentation will depend on the number of submissions, but selection will certainly be more rigorous than for regular abstracts. Therefore, if at all possible, abstracts should be submitted by the regular deadline and the late news submission should be reserved for data that is indeed not available before
May 13 [EXTENDED] May 20, 2019. The same submission rules apply for the late news abstracts as for the regular abstracts, but each presenting author may only submit one late news abstract.
The late news abstract submission will be open from July 17 to August 16, 2019, and the notification of acceptance or rejection for late news abstracts will be sent to the corresponding (submitting) authors on August 30, 2019 JST.
